Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry holds the proud distinction of being the second largest chamber in India with over 7000 members and several affiliated bodies. Established in the year 1924 at Madurai, this is a renowned chamber across India for its proactive role in serving the cause of trade and industry.

This chamber has been at the forefront of conceptualizing and making effective representation to various stakeholders for the growth of trade and services for the welfare of the people. TN Chamber has to be credited for getting several key infrastructural developments into the southern Tamil Nadu region which has an impact on a larger scale on the economic and social development indicators of this region.

For the past 99 years, TN Chamber has been holding its forte as a lighthouse spreading its care and compassion for the traders and trading community on a professional note to upscale their business. The numerous trade delegations to various countries inclusive of the USA, China, South Africa, and Vietnam along with the Memorandum of Understanding that the Chamber has signed today stand out as a testimony to its active and vibrant service.

The Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TN Chamber) was established in the year 1924 in Madurai and started with just 24 members with the primary objective of serving the cause of Trade and Industry. Currently, the membership strength of the TN Chamber has exceeded 5600 members with more than 200 smaller chambers and trade associations affiliated to it. By far, it is now the largest Chamber in India in membership strength. TN Chamber is currently headed by Shri. N. Jegatheesan as President.

Shri S. Rethinavelu has conceived an idea to form the Tamilnadu Chamber Foundation (TCF) as a Non-Profit Organization to provide non-trade & industry-related services and skill development programs through its various forums.

Founded by the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, ChaAT promotes fairness, confidentiality, and timely redressal through Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms.
